I like the YMCA because when your a member you get to workout for free or pay a small amount. Another reason is it helps a person get the exercise they need while in a friendly atmosphere. I started going to the YMCA when I was a little girl. A few years ago I became a member but my card expired so I'll have to get a new one in the future. I was thinking about registering for their fun summer activities or join a team for women so that I can stay more active. YMCA is a great deal for anyone.

In Short
The first U.S. branch of the YMCA started in Boston in 1851; there are now more than 2,500 locations nationwide, making it the country's largest nonprofit community service program. Each YMCA reflects the community it's in, offering differing services based on the area. Most include fitness areas with aerobic equipment, classes and racquetball and tennis courts. Many also have day care and after-school programs, as well as summer day camps.
