The Romano family celebrates 40 years of serving the families of Littleton and the South Metro area. Neil and Ellie Romano opened the original Romano?s on Windermere Street in Littleton on December 1, 1967. This is a rare gem in the ever changing restaurant scene: a family owned and operated business for 40 years. Italian restaurants today are often run by huge corporations, but the roots of Romano?s success run deep into the Italian American way of life. Neil was born and raised in ?Little Italy? in New York City. He took the recipes that he learned in his mother?s kitchen and turned them into a successful small business.
Over the years, Neil and Ellie Romano passed on to their children: Sue, John and Nick, the values that this restaurant is built on?their high standards of quality and customer service.
