Maria, of Maria's Italian Bakery, Deli & Catering, opened her doors in 1983 and continues to serve up the best made-from-scratch Italian dishes in town--in fact, she's the first person you see behind the counter. The smell of freshly baked pizza, bread and sweet desserts fills the air and invites your appetite to indulge. Maria's stromboli is a favorite, the award-winning cannolis are made-to-order and her bakery is one of the few places in Detroit where you can find the original Italian Cassata cake. With a full deli of freshly-made salads, soups and entrees, along with homemade pizza, incredible desserts, pastries, cheesecake and a full line of Boar's Head Italian meats and cheeses, you'll find something for every meal.
