Purchased by Liz Lambert in 2009, this newly renovated Cuban-themed boutique hotel re-opened on April 1, 2010. Built in 1914, the building is listed on the National Register of Historical Places. The new Hotel Havana captures the spirit of old downtown San Antonio with the distinctive contemporary flare of a Liz Lambert hotel. This Riverwalk hotel has 27 guestrooms including a Penthouse Suite. Signature features of the guestrooms at the new Hotel Havana include private collection "Havana Bed" with custom bedding, a hand-delivered breakfast basket with hand-pressed Cuban Coffee, Mexican Sweetbreads, and other authentic Cuban items, in-room entertainment including iPods/iTV with in-room connection and free movies available at the front desk, vintage darkwood furnishings, and retro SMEG refrigerators in every room serving as the "minibar" stocked with authentic Cuban and Mexican beverages and snacks. Known by the locals as "The Havana," this downtown San Antonio hotel also features the famous basement Cigar bar popular with San Antonio locals. This Riverwalk hotel is minutes from the historic Alamo, the Majestic Theatre, the San Antonio Museum of Art, the Buckhorn Saloon & Museum, the Aztec Theatre, HemisFair Park, and Ripley's Believe It Or Not.

We had high expectations after reading the other reviews, but the drinks were terrible and the crowd was rude. Too many other good bars around to spend time going to this one. (more)

This place is a throwback to the 50's. Located at the basement of the Havana Riverwalk Inn, this bar is outfited with comfortable leather chairs and overstuff couches. The music is loud enough to enjoy, but it does not ... (more)

Intimate lounge, with an expansive patio overlooking a quiet section of the often loud river walk. If you want a nice, quiet nightcap, away from mad crowds, this is the place. If you're looking for a see-and-be-seen ... (more)
