I am Dr. Chris Michael, a licensed psychologist practicing clinical and forensic psychology in Laguna Hills (South Orange County), California.
I am open to working with quite a few types of life difficulties, but specialties include 'stuckness' in life or relationship patterns, depression, anxiety, bipolar, schizophrenia, gifted / talented, and forensic psychology.
I view personal difficulties as problems of adaptation and I work to find what these adaptations are trying to help you do--even though they are also painful and mostly ineffective. This also means that I always remember that all humans have difficulties and then begin to compensate for them in unfortunate, but reversible, ways. You are not just a 'diagnosis' or a 'mentally ill person' here.
