Apostrophe promotes inclusion of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our stories and photos show people achieving independence, contributing to their communities, enjoying life.
No one with a disability should be forced to live, work or learn in a segregated setting. All people deserve the right to direct their own lives. We believe the power of the pen (and the camera) can help make that philosophy a reality.
People with disabilities face apostrophes. Too often people with disabilities are told what they can?t do. Apostrophe emphasizes what they can do. It helps turn can't and shouldn't into can and should. Every story, column and section in the magazine relates to eliminating apostrophes in peoples? lives.
