What are certified or pre-owned copier?

Here are the differences between the two types.

A certified copier has been stripped down to the frame and evaluated as to what parts are worn and need to be replaced. Canon certified copiers, The FACTORY CERTIFIED MODELS  have been thoroughly inspected and cleaned. It has had a prescribed number of parts replaced so as to ensure operation and quality to Canon standards. This model has been assigned a new model name and serial number, may incorporate new features and/or functions, and has had its meter reset to zero. These models contains new, refurbished, and/or recovered parts and fully meets the original equipment manufacturer's quality and operational standards for Canon Certified machines. The factory warrants these copiers just like a new copier  for a period 30 days on parts and labor from the date received.

A Pre Owned copier is one in which it has been used by a previous owner who has elected to upgrade to a newer copier and returns the older copier to the remarketer to resell. Although this is not a new copier if it has a low meter count, the value can be great and the savings terrific. The fact that it has a low meter makes it very desireable to resell.  This type of copier when inspected shows no real wear and tear can be a better buy than a new or certified model.

Looking at both of these types of copiers you can see there is value in both. The certiied model is almost like new and receives the same warranty as a new model and the pre owned carries a 30 day satisfaction warranty.
