Have you ever felt lost in a pile of money that you cannot hold on to, spend, or accumulate. In a nutshell, it is similar to being in a dream or a nightmare, if you wish - you work hard every day, at least 10 to 12 hours; run around performing family chores, play a little, watch as much television as you can, read the Bible quick, pray sometimes, and then, collaspe!!! At the end of the day, the resounding question is, "Where is the money"?
The Bible says, It is God that gives us the power to get wealth, and that we should seek first the kingdom of God and all His righteousness, and then these things (the stuff we want, need, or desire) will be added unto us. So, perhaps, our approach to securing wealth is not correct. Our priorities are not in agreement with the Bible's guidance, thus, we are not finding wealth, and instead, we are finding weariness, disappointment, disillusionment, and just a poof of hot air, with no substance. We are not happy, content, or at peace. The Word of God even discusses how the "blessings of the Lord adds no sorrow". So, events or things that we think are blessings, are probably not, and they are just distractions from real wealth.
An acronym for wealth that will last and be a blessing to us, could be the following:
W wisdom from God the Father
E equality with Jesus Christ as joint heir
A adopted as a child of God the Father
L life, more abundantly with Jesus Christ
T tither, thus blessed, and not cursed with a curse
H holy, since nothing unholy can enter heaven.
Wow, I have been seeking wealth in all the wrong places. Given the above acronym, I must allocate more time to my intimacy with the Father, Holy Spirit, and the Word (Jesus), and then I am certain that I will experience "true wealth eternally". Happy seeking to all of you!
