Many entrepreneurs and professionals like Shirley Suguitan, A mortgage broker in Hawaii are just one of the many out there who is looking for ways to make money in this tight economy. Afer closing her mortgage business, she now work out of her home to cut-back on expenses. Shirley said with the many changes in lending now, it will never be the same even after we get back on our feet. Shirley has been a top producing loan officer , but not any more with declining market value and people losing there jobs, stricter lending guidelines it’s just getting tougher to close loan.When asked why not just look for another job. Shirley states, job stability is not what it use to be, many small business are closing down, corporates are downsizing, there is just no security anymore.Shirley like many looked into network marketing companies because of the residual it offers, but to build a downline it takes time she said. Many network marketing companies have monthly quotas, and you have to chase down friends and families to make a small commission. Shirley states, I done the song and dance for many lotions and potions, diet pills, gas saving, long distance, it takes time to build a team, and again many just don’t like attending meetings, traveling, and calling on friends to go to a meeting. Network Marketing does work, but we need money now to pay-off bills. I can’t survive on the $25 commission check after I gone through a list of my 100 friends and families contact, but then of course there’s that monthly fee we pay a month.There are so many home-business but the truth is Shirley states many fails because of the marketing system and the amount of time and effort it takes, and the return on investment is just not worth it. Like I said, we need money now to pay bills and to survive.
