Looking NATURALLY beautiful on your wedding day.

I can't even begin to tell you how many brides are shocked when they see their pictures after their wedding. Way too much makeup!  Someone that was a makeup artist that didn't specialize in brides.  Yes, probably for evening events or theater.  Those artists believe that if you are paying for it than you need to see your moneys worth by applying everything on you.  But that is the wrong idea.  As a Bridal Expert Artist you should know that creating a natural appearance by adding the right amount, less is more often more, can pop you features without making you look overdone, like a clown or prostitute.

When you are searching for a Make-up Artist you should like the way they apply their own makeup.  They should look professional and be presentable.  Clean (hygienic), organized and easily available to talk too, and happy.  They should carry more than one cosmetic brand in their kit and it should be available to purchase.  And if you have had a positive recommendation about one, than you are lucky.  Most brides have a hard time searching for their own unique artist and are often on their own.  Let me suggest that selecting a Artist should be one of the first things on your list.

I started doing bridal makeup 2 years before I got married myself.  I was one of the Brides in 2000.   Remember Y2K? The world, computers etc... everything was supposed to be a disaster.  Right.   Bridal makeup for me is was a hobby, side business on weekends.    My career full-time is a Cosmetics Department Manager.  I love doing that too.  Purchasing, creating events, training, hiring building a team of girls that creates a turnover of great sales and happy customers.   Currently ending my second maternity leave I was to sit down with my employer to discuss my return.  We agreed I was going back in September because my first son will be in JK and daycare would be available.  Great guy.  He was very understanding.

But around a week ago, I had this terrible dream.  A dream that every mother fears could come true and has for some.  In my dream holding my older son, crying to share only the last 2 weeks of our lives together.  I woke up scared.  It felt so real.  I was shaking and crying.  This dream made my future career decision.  I decided to return on a part-time basis so I could invest and dedicate myself to my own business.  Some of you are thinking that is great to have an ability to fall on and some of you think that I was overreacting.  But in my heart this is best.  I can still earn an income and be with my children.  For a lot of us the more money we make the more we spend.  We need and what we want during these times as we enter a recession should be reevaluated.

So if you are looking for a Bridal Make-up Artist, make sure you take the time to find an expert who is passionate about their business. Don't hesitate to ask for help!
