Laser Treatment for Fungal Nails

by Jeffrey kleis of Jeffrey Kleis, DPM Inc (6/3/2009)

There is a new laser treatment for fungal nails (onychomycosis). Now, a specialized laser can be used to kill the organisms that cause nail discoloration and nail thickening.  This laser has an 88% success rate with only one treatment.  The laser is painless, and allows the person to resume normal activity immediately after the procedure is performed.

Other treatments for fungal nails, such as pills, can cause liver damage, and t,opical treatments with liquids and creams are rarely effective.  With this new laser treatment there is no risk of liver damage, and the cure rate is very high.  Make sure you find an experienced podiatrist who is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery to administer this effective new treatment.
