Not all gutters are installed equally, even if most people use the same or similar products. The difference basically boils down to two things:
- Is the person or persons working on your home qualified? The answer in almost every case is YES: gutters are very simple to install correctly.
- Will the person who installs my gutters make them look good (for now), or will they make them work well (for a very long time)? Because that is the difference: gutters that only look good won't last.
In my experience, every gutter job should be hung using a level with the foresight to prevent problems before they start. Living in Spokane my entire life, I understand the severity of the winters, and how to keep my gutters from becoming an eyesore.
We do recommend covers of some sort to prevent debris from clogging your gutters. If you have gutters and no leaf or pine needle protection, let me remind you to clean your gutters. Gutters that are clean and drain well will wash out small debris, but poor installation like back sloping cause gutter problems with debris.
