We seem to have entered a Green Revolution. 'Green Revolution' is a loaded phrase. Aside from the obvious trend toward conscious respect of our environment, ‘green’ has meaning on so many levels.
We find ourselves in the throes of a shift in consciousness all the way around. It is obvious that our national and global monetary systems are begging for change. Greed has served as the engine for our global economy for so long that now, when faced with the urgency of making new kinds of vital decisions for our very survival, reality for many is turned upside down. To find the cause for any problems we are enduring in the social, political, economic or religious arenas of our world today, all we have to do is follow the money trail.
Greed and competition for the biggest slice of the pie are the principal factors for the world’s woes. They are caused by only one thing — fear of not having enough and that fear is imprinted on most of us since birth and even conception. Many believe that if we have enough money and possessions, our security is ensured. Paradoxically, if we truly have that belief, then we are most insecure of all.
Insecurity breeds competition. Why else would we have a need to demonstrate that we’re the best at something? Why can’t we embrace everyone and at the level they perform as beautiful? Fear and all the emotions it stirs up comes from one place — the ego. Certainly not the heart.
How interesting it is that the heart chakra energy center vibrates and spins green in color. The Green Revolution and the heart chakra are metaphors for each other! When we live in love, greed and competition are abhorrent to us. Instead, sharing and respect for all life are the tenets we live by. Love most often does not choose war, it does not choose violence or abuse, it does not choose destruction or disrespect. Love doesn’t just make do for now, but makes choices on behalf of all those who come after. Love is exceedingly wise and makes decisions for the good of the whole. Love would care for and respect the sanctity of all life. Love would find a way to make life abundant for everyone on the planet. The Green Revolution is the herald for our current revolution in consciousness which is founded on love, not fear.
An enormous change has occurred in our political system, again where we are undergoing a revolution of sorts. A majority of the populace has demanded a shift toward idealism and of that populace our youth count for a significant number. Many of these youth are the so-called indigo children who have just come of age to vote. (Indigo children are souls incarnate of a highly evolved nature and whose mission it is to escort the planet into its Golden Age; they began incarnating in the late 1980s. I personally know several who so passionately voted in this election.) They worked hard to ignite this revolution and never let up on adults who did not hear them at first. When these young adults speak, we need to not only listen, but find ways to work with them for they have been prepared for this revolutionary timing!
Though this timing can be painful as we let go of old ways, the potential for a spectacular outcome because of heart-centered, respectful and selfless living now is enormous. The Green Revolution is ushering us in to a new way of living and caring for each other, a way that even those who think they’d rather stick with the known and familiar greed and competition model, will some day admit they love.
