Hockey is a game in which one team tries to score against another team using a long stick to put an object of choice completely inside his opponent's corridor. It does not matter what type of ground you do this upon. As long as all players are aware of the surface, and the rules and regulations of the game that are set before them, then all things are equal for both teams.
Street hockey is played on a smooth, hard surface with or without side, curved or end boards. Outside areas are preferred, but inside will suffice. Under the sun or lights, playing this game will catch you off guard, due to the intense action and quick thinking it takes to master this game. Being in your sneakers instead of skates makes this game equal for everyone. The only thing that separates the players is their skills and the only thing that separates the teams will be their chemistry!
You can play up a level or age classification, but you cannot play down. Get your team together, pick a name and colors and give your local league a call!
