Some people miss out on the opportunity to experience new ways to transfer from the Airport to home or business or vise versa: MONEY. I’m here to tell you: don’t let that fear prevent you from taking that Ride! There are some ways you can travel without spending a lot of money. We will cover this in a later article; there are a lot of ways you can get a cheap transfer.
People I’ve spoken with about this subject are under the impression that your ride is going to be one of the most expensive parts of your trip, but this should be one of the least expensive things you need to worry about. I can understand where these people get their misinformation, however. There are a lot of online transportation companies that make it easy for people to book ride online, but contrary to their advertising these are not the cheapest places to get your airport transportation.
For example, when I search taxis or limos in the Cincinnati area:
Mason - $60-125
West Chester – 60-125
Milford - $65-130
CVG to Dayton -$150
CVG to Lexington-$160
Test this for yourself. If you search Taxi, Limo or others you’ll find similar prices or even higher.
Don’t jump to conclusions about what affordable or pay less means. If you do, you’ll be missing out on some of the best, safest, cleanest, accommodations available.
It has been stated by many taxi patrons most taxis are dirty: TRUE. I used a couple of bad companies, I can also say that Limos that are just vans claiming to be limos, having bought a license but not a real limo, that you will pay a lot more for. For the most part, car services are clean and comfortable.
My favorite reason for using a car service, the people you meet! For most, it’s not even about the money in the end. I’ve met some amazing people who have become long-term friends at these encounters because everyone is out for reliability comfort and cleanliness at an inexpensive rate. Car services usually have nice, clean cars at a better price than either Taxi or Limo Services.
