Sabor Latin Fusion Cuisine's Ambiance - Select Comments

The bathrooms were oddly authentic -- they felt like a bare-bones bathroom in Latin America , not something that should be expected from a restaurant that holds itself out as upscale. more»

Inheriting the space of a strategically located but thoroughly forgettable Italian joint is this restaurant whose sleek lines, modern art and plasma screens above the bar create a stylish, contemporary environment. Candles wink in the dim lighting as Cuban specialties like ropa vieja (a respectable version at that), lechn asada and arroz con pollo are whisked over to white linen-topped tables. A trio of empanadas with a refreshing mojito is a good way to begin an evening here. Despite its self-described "Latin Fusion Cuisine," Sabor's menu is dominated by traditional Cuban cooking, with a few dishes from other Latin nations (e.g. Peruvian ceviche) thrown in for kicks, along with a couple of teriyaki-sauced dishes and chicken Cordon Bleu. For lunch, enjoy a hefty medianoche (pressed ham, pork and cheese sandwich) with plantain chips and herbed aoli. For dessert, you'll find torrejas (a sort of Cuban take on pain perdu not often found in L.A.), flan or bread pudding.

Whether you prefer an intimate party from 2 to 20 guests or a bash with 200 people, our bars and plasma TV's bring out the modern scene while not forgetting old Mexico with our freshly cooked traditional Latino food. Our patio can fit up to 100 of your guests and our main room can accommodate 200 people. We have private rooms that can fit up to 14 to 40 guests. You will not forget your special experience at Sabor Latin Fusion Cuisine.
