How to live your Dream of a Beach Wedding without going into debt!
By Catherine Mills
Too many couples make the mistake of assuming they could never afford to live their dream of a Beach Wedding because it must certainly cost thousands to do so… well I’d like to share the good news that a Wedding on the Beach often times costs much less then traditional ceremony venues!
Start by finding a destination closest to your home location. There’s no need to fly to Aruba or the Bahamas when the U.S. is surrounded by miles and miles of pristine beaches and waterways. Instead of having your ceremony in one location and flying off to another location for your honeymoon, combine your destination beach wedding plans with your honeymoon plans to save even more money. Many beach side resorts offer lower out of season rates that could you save you hundreds if your wedding date is flexible.
Next, research Beach Wedding companies. Many beach wedding service providers offer complete packages that include your Officiant, Tropical Beach Decor, Photographer, Musician, Bridal Bouquet, Planning and Coordinating all in one, so you don’t have to make numerous phone calls trying to find several different wedding industry vendors and attempting to organize them all into one unfamiliar location, not too mention the money you will save by these package deals, versus hiring a Photographer, Officiant, Florist and so on independently.
Choose a Beach Wedding company that you feel comfortable with and can answer your questions with ease. Don’t be afraid to ask what specific services they are going to provide you. Make sure they have a website that displays the exact decor your package purchase entails. Look for photos of their previous wedding ceremonies. Ask if they provide any other courtesy services like helping you locate a local cake decorator or restaurant for a reception gathering.
Most importantly, a Beach Wedding is a most romantic and memorable way to express your love for each other! Enjoy yourself. Have fun, be carefree, dig your toes into the sand as you say I do!
